On 18–19 September 2025, open-air museum professionals from across Europe met at the Ulster Folk Museum in Northern Ireland for the AEOM Rural Conference themed “Learning from the Land.”
The event explored how rural traditions, skills, and landscapes can inspire environmental responsibility today. Highlights included presentations from National Museums NI, ETAR, Beamish, and community partners working on regenerative land management and biodiversity initiatives.
Participants enjoyed guided tours, hands-on workshops, and lively discussions—leaving inspired by the shared commitment to sustainability and learning from the land.
