Biannual Conference

Biannual conference

The conference is a cornerstone of the AEOM community. Meeting colleagues from around the world, exchanging ideas, and building meaningful friendships and collaborations foster mutual learning and support the development of our institutions. The General Meeting of AEOM take place during the conference.

Each conference is hosted by one or more member museums. It offers participants an in-depth exploration of local open-air museums and presents themes that are relevant both to the host institutions and to the wider open-air museum community.

Carefully prepared by the hosts together with the AEOM board, the programme highlights current topics and combines diverse formats. Alongside presentations and discussions, participants can experience engaging onsite activities that offer a closer look behind the scenes of the host museums.
